The Big Picture

“I raise my voice loud and sing, tell them all what you’ve done for me, even in my darkest days, I’m going to sing your praises….” – Robbie Seay

I’ve been going through some deep spiritual attacks the past few weeks – thinking about all the things I don’t have. Letting my mountain of debt worry me, letting my commission-only job worry me, letting my singleness depress me….

Even as I type I am struck by how much these things are all my choice, I am letting these things consume me. I am letting the enemy have control of my mind and it is destroying me. So what’s the answer? How do we overcome the enemy?

Easier said than done, but the solution is clear – CHOOSE to set your mind on the things above, not on your short comings – every struggle in this life is temporary – EVERY ONE

Colossians 3 - Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is,seated at the right hand of God. [a] Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

  1. I happen to be commenting to let you know of the outstanding discovery our daughter had reading through your webblog. She mastered a good number of issues, most notably what it’s like to possess an excellent coaching style to have other people smoothly thoroughly grasp certain complex subject areas. You really exceeded visitors’ expected results. I appreciate you for offering the priceless, safe, revealing and as well as cool thoughts on your topic to Lizeth.
